About Us
Blackdown Preschool is a committee-led setting that has been providing care for children aged between 2-5 years since 1997. We are situated in Deepcut, serving families in the local area.
Our approach
To achieve these aims we offer your child:
A specially-tailored curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes
Individual care and attention, made possible by a high ratio of adults to children
Fun and friendship with other adults and children
The support of an individual, assigned key person and the opportunity for you and your family to be directly involved in the education of your children.
Our aims
Blackdown Preschool aims to:
Provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age in a parent-involving, community-based group
Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment
Work within a framework that ensures equal opportunities for all children and their families.
Our staff
Our highly-skilled team are passionate about their role within the preschool.
Each member of staff has a relevant criminal records check (DBS) and undergoes a thorough six month induction. Staff are also Paediatric First Aid trained, with either Level 3 childcare qualifications or are working towards this.
The knowledge of our staff is paramount, and we provide the opportunity for all staff to attend training provided both within the Preschool and with the Local Authority.
